Lina Virzintas is Founder of The Ocean Registry.  An elementary school teacher and a fun spirited mother of two, Lina found her passion in creating dreams come true and giving back.  She shares a long time love for the ocean and the Great Lakes with her family and this personal attachment to the Earth’s waters sent her on the entrepreneurial path of bringing her dream of The Ocean Registry into reality.

Corrin Brubaker is a Team Member at The Ocean Registry.  Combining her love for the ocean and her passion for the start-up world brought Corrin to The Ocean Registry.  Corrin has a long career in Sales and Sales Management with a focus on building small to mid-size company’s sales structures from the bottom up working at such places as Bella Pictures, Mohawk Industries, Disneyland and the Limited Corp.  Growing up in Laguna Beach, CA gives Corrin her passion for the ocean.

“I have been blessed  to live in places as beautiful as Laguna Beach, CA as well as San Francisco, CA.  I am drawn to the power of the ocean.  It is where I am most calm.  But I see more and more how we don’t treat our bodies of water with the respect they deserve.  The ocean nourishes our planet and in order to preserve our future, we need to bring ocean conservation to the fore front of everyone.  That is why I came to work at The Ocean Registry.  I give the gift of our magnificent ocean to the world as well as benefit charities focusing on bringing ocean conservation awareness to the world.  My work at The Ocean Registry is a dream come true.   I love coming to work every day and reading the stories as to why someone bought their piece of the ocean.”

2. You claim this special ocean spot with our easy to use online registration.
3. You create a personal message as a way to personalize this location.
4. Your registered ocean parcel will appear on the ocean map, marked with a parcel marker icon so others can find it on the interactive ocean map and when you click on the parcel marker, an ID bubble showing your personal message will appear.

The parcel “owner” receives personalized documents acknowledging your registration: a beautiful custom Certificate of Registration, Letter of Congratulations and World Map Sheet that marks the geographic location of your parcel. Your specific ocean parcel information is stored in our database and will be copy written and recorded with the US Library of Congress. No personal information is published, only the parcel’s GPS coordinates and parcel ID number is published.

The Ocean Registry offers two eco-friendly ways to receive the registration documents. Whether buying an ocean parcel registration for you or for someone else, we care that we offer options that can help consumers tread lightly on the planet.

Our Standard Registration package offers registration documents sent via email that you can download and print out yourself. This virtual gift concept leaves virtually no carbon footprint.

Our Deluxe Mailed Registration package offers professionally printed registration documents framed and packaged in a gift set. This package is printed and packaged using environmentally friendly materials and methods. The package is produced by a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified printer using Soy Based Ink and recycled materials. With each package you will be able to view the location of your parcel on our world ocean map and see any special messages you created when registering your unique ocean parcel.

The Ocean Registry® and Mapping corporation was founded in 2008 by a school teacher whose goal was to make a positive impact on the state of the ocean and to spread ocean awareness. This school teacher, also a mother, felt a need to make the world a better place for her children and future generations.
